Though the train drove in the direction, but not as far as we hoped -- at around 10am we arrived in no man's land Coopaltrou (or sth like that). Still motivated we decided to go to the nearest local beach Bribie Island. Ill-starred we had to found out that every day only 2 busses drive over there: the first at 9am at the second one at 11:45am. To while away our time we went to a restaurant, but were refused to get in because 3 of us were flip flop walkers. So we just walk around and stopped at a petrol station (incl a drive-through bottle shop).
I asked the nice cashier if she knows a place where we can get sth to eat and drink -- she made call, asked if they let us in and showed us the way. We started to think our bad luck left us and took our bus...someone told us the beach should be the terminal stop. After 30min I asked the bus driver when we'll arrive and he told me that the previous stop was the beach -- shit! Swearing like a trooper we jumped out of the bus and took the next cab to return to the beach (4km way). Slowly but surely we would arrive and Basti and Ian were looking forward to improve their surf skills. Ouch! Tiny little waves welcomed us. OK what about some chicks? Nil return, only Aussie families with little kids were around. Mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! What the hell!
We bought a ball...played soccer, grappled some beach rugby and had the whole beach for us alone.
Basti, me and Antoine having fun. Basti's major is business and Antoine is as me an IT student.
Me, Basti and Ian. In general Ian takes the photos, but this time, Antoine did his job. One of Ian's units is a photography class.
The old man and the sea.
Before we went back home some gentlemen needed some extra beers to suppress their frustration.
